A photo retrieval code is a number you need when submitting your application, both online and at a service point! It ensures that the correct photo is linked to your passport. You will receive the photo retrieval code by text message right after your photo is taken.

The photo attached to your application can be no more than 6 months old. You can apply for an ID card at the same time as your passport — the same photo can be used for both!
