APPLY FOR A PASSPORT ONLINE

COME TO US FOR YOUR PHOTO!

We will send your passport photo electronically straight to the police. You will immediately receive a photo code by text message (valid for 6 months), which you will need when submitting your application.

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE

Fill in the application at, www.poliisi.fi/asiointipalvelu. Enter the photo code we sent you, pay for your passport, and choose your pick-up location. The delivery time for a passport is 5–8 working days, depending on demand.

PICK UP YOUR PASSPORT

Your passport will be delivered to the service point you selected. You will receive a notification once it is ready for pickup. When collecting your passport, you must prove your identity (a driver’s license is not accepted) and show the tracking code. You may also authorize another person to collect your passport, but the applicant must have a valid ID.

DID YOU KNOW?

The photo attached to a passport application must be no more than 6 months old.

An identity card can also be used as a travel document in certain countries!
